Senior Project Manager

Craig Richardson is the President and Senior Project Manager at WICKWIRE. With a career spanning over two decades, Craig brings unparalleled expertise in funding assistance, studies, and design for municipal water and wastewater systems. He excels in construction administration and inspection, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.

Craig’s extensive experience includes successfully managing projects funded by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR), United States Department of Agriculture – Rural Development (USDA-RD), the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).

Craig holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University, class of 1998. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan (#6201050975) and Wisconsin (#44761-6), and also holds a Michigan S-4 Waterworks System Operator License (#13348).

Project Engineer

Seth Miatech is a dedicated Project Engineer at WICKWIRE, focusing on designing municipal water and wastewater systems, roadway projects, and construction inspection. His expertise includes collaborating on various state highway and Local Agency Program projects with the Michigan Department of Transportation, ensuring successful project outcomes. Seth has also worked as a Project Engineer on successful projects funded by the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

Seth earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2021, and his passion for engineering excellence has been evident throughout his career.

Project Engineer

John Paramski is a skilled Project Engineer at WICKWIRE, specializing in municipal water and wastewater systems, municipal roadway project design, and construction inspection. His experience includes working on various state highway projects in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Transportation, contributing to the successful execution and completion of these projects.

John earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2022.

Project Engineer

Logan Schmutzler is a Project Engineer at WICKWIRE., specializing in construction inspection, soil erosion and sedimentation control, and water and wastewater collection systems. Before joining WICKWIRE, Logan served as a staff engineer and resident project representative for Sault Ste. Marie, gaining extensive experience in local and MDOT LAP project design and construction.

Logan holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Michigan Technological University, class of 2021. His diverse expertise and commitment to environmental sustainability make him a valuable asset to the WICKWIRE team.

Senior Project Manager

David Kircher, P.E., is a Senior Project Manager at WICKWIRE. With over 34 years of experience at WisDOT, David brings expertise in funding assistance, highway and local road design, construction administration, and inspection. He has managed environmental, geotechnical, and real estate projects across 18 counties. David has worked on major projects such as the Bong Bridge and several highway and bridge reconstructions. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Marquette University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin (#26897-6).

Brian A. Savolainen senior project manager

Brian A. Savolainen, P.E.

Senior Project Manager

Brian A. Savolainen, P.E., is a Senior Project Engineer at WICKWIRE, bringing extensive expertise in both the private and public sectors. Brian has served as the Project Manager and Senior Engineer on numerous large-scale projects, including utility transmission line planning and design, subdivisions and condominium sites, water, sanitary, and storm sewer infrastructure planning and design, brownfield site redevelopment, and municipal street and roadway design. He has also worked on several MDOT highway and bridge reconstruction projects.

Brian holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University, class of 1990.

Office Manager

Nikki Mantsch is the Office Manager for WICKWIRE, bringing over 20 years of experience in the clerical field. She earned an Associate Degree in Respiratory Sciences in 2012 and since joining WICKWIRE in 2023, Nikki has taken on various roles. She provides administrative support for the entire team, using her unique management strategies to ensure that office operations run smoothly. Nikki leverages her diverse skills to promote company expansion and growth. A native of Iron River, Nikki lives and works there with her husband, Tom, and their three daughters, Harlie, Gracyn, and Preslie.

Mechanical Engineer

James Olson serves as a staff engineer for WICKWIRE, P.C. He has background construction experience with foundation work and flatwork. Mr. Olson received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University in the summer of 2024.
